Singapore-based myFirst Tech Holdings Pte Ltd has appointed Fu Yu Corporation Limited as its exclusive contract manufacturer for a North American expansion of its kid-safe digital platform, aiming for 20,000 locations globally. The $15 million contract aims to begin mass production this month.
myFirst offers the world’s first kids’ tech ecosystem, centered around its myFirst Circle app, providing a secure digital community for children to socialize and share experiences. With increasing concerns about children's online safety, myFirst's products offer a solution by combining physical interactivity with child-centric technology.
Backed by a Pre-Series A funding round from Lynx Asia Partners and angel investors, myFirst plans to expand its presence in North America, targeting major retailers like Walmart and Best Buy.
Fu Yu, a leading manufacturer of high-precision plastic products, will provide manufacturing and assembly solutions, leveraging its Smart Factory in Tuas. Before mass-producing myFirst’s products, Fu Yu’s New Product Introduction (NPI) team will collaborate with myFirst to provide customized product design support, while streamlining the production process to enable quicker time-to-market and enhance quality and production efficiency. Additionally, both companies will explore the use of bio-rated materials for manufacturing specific components, thereby boosting sustainability throughout the production process.
The partnership aims to meet the demand for kid-safe technology while ensuring high-quality production and sustainability. Both companies express enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the importance of addressing parental concerns about children's safety online and in the real world.
