Plug and Play's APAC fintech selection day for Batch 2 was held on 30th November 2021. This event was the second edition for the 14-week fintech accelerator program that Plug and Play has been running. It was aimed at startups from the fintech industry who were selected to pitch their ideas to an audience of investors, corporates and industry experts.
The event started with a keynote speech from Plug and Play APAC's CEO, Jupe Tan, followed by an introduction to the program by the APAC fintech team. The participating startups then presented their products and services to the audience.
The selection day was held in a hybrid format, with both in-person and virtual participation. The physical event was held at Plug and Play's Singapore office, while the virtual attendees could join from anywhere in the world. The startups had the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a wide range of investors, including venture capitalists, angel investors and corporate investors.
The startups that participated in the event came from various parts of the world, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, and the United States. They covered a wide range of areas within fintech, such as payments, lending, insurance, wealth management, and regtech.
The event was a great opportunity for the startups to showcase their products and services and connect with potential investors and industry experts. The selection day is just the first step of the accelerator program, and the selected startups will now undergo a 14-week program where they will receive mentorship, resources, and support to help them scale their businesses.
Plug and Play APAC has been running fintech accelerator programs since 2018, and the program has already helped many startups to grow their businesses and secure funding. The Batch 2 fintech selection day was another successful event that brought together promising startups and investors to support innovation in the fintech industry.
